The 2023–24 South Dakota Coyotes men's basketball team represents the University of South Dakota in the 2023–24 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Coyotes are led by second-year head coach Eric Peterson, and play their home games at the Sanford Coyote Sports Center in Vermillion, South Dakota as members of the Summit League.

Previous season

The Coyotes finished the 2022–23 season 12–19, 7–11 in Summit League play to finish in sixth place. The Coyotes would lose to North Dakota State in the quarterfinals of the Summit League tournament.^[1]
