Moon World Resorts Inc. is a Canadian based Architectural Design and intellectual property licensor which plans to lease the build-out and operation of four MOON Destination Resorts around the globe. The company was founded in 2000 by Sandra G. Matthews and Michael R. Henderson.

Each MOON Destination Resort will stand approximately 1,000 feet (305 meters) tall. MOON is a fully integrated Destination Resort which includes a 4,000 all-suite hotel component. Each MOON project will be an approximately 5.5 million square feet / 516,000 square meter build out. The proposed cost of the project is an estimated $5 billion.

In an interview with the Associated Press, Michael Henderson stated, “We have the biggest ‘brand’ in the world," and that "eight billion people know our brand, and we haven’t even started yet” - referencing the Moon itself as his brand. Although gambling is currently illegal in the United Arab Emirates, the MOON Resort plans to have gambling space catering to Dubai's ruling elite and wealthy visitors to the country.[1]
